Back in 1999, Dan Blatch celebrated his 18th birthday supporting the NSW Blues at Game 2 of the State of Origin.
The night was such a success that he decided to make it an annual event and Blatchy’s Blues was born.
Each year since more and more loud and proud Blues supporters have jumped on board with Blatchy’s bay
attracting league fans of all ages and backgrounds. In 2011 the seat allocation sold out weeks prior to
the game – officially cementing Blatchy’s Blues status as the largest single supporters group in Australian Sport.
The sheer number of die-hard fans donning the now iconic blue wig will make for a spine-tingling spectacle in 2013.
In 2011 over 10,000 strong Blatchys Blues NSW supporters joined Blatchy at the Sydney Game.
